Parenting, Schooling can make the children either an honest person, a good citizen or bad citizen, even a criminal.
There is an old saying "Like begets Like".
Many times I travel places by train or other public transport and see the beggars who are never handicap. Even I have seen kids at such places harassing the public begging with bad attitude, I have seen the gay community in groups demanding for money (they will not beg you), if someone gives them money its fine but if not they will curse, taunt with bad language.
This might be common experience of many people, but the the real question comes to my mind is what is the source of this?
The person standing in front of us whatever may be his/her age, what was his parents doing at the time of his childhood, where were the schools or the Govt agencies when these type of children really needed help.
On the contrary I have also seen handicap person with no hands or even legs too, he is trying to work and survive. He is doing job or even a small business. I have purchased a toffee from a man with no hands, he was carrying a tray with straps around his neck, its was like a micro self service shop as I have to pick the thing I need and also put the amount on that tray. If we do not have the change then the change is on the tray. My point is when you such person not begging in front of you, doesn't it inspire us. What was his parent taught him to stand on his feet, to be self dependent.
The Louis Braille is a great example who was completely blind by both eyes but his parents always tried to raise their child in normal fashion. He invented Braille System for communication which is universally accepted.
