Vastushastra: A Science, Myth or Superstition??

Part 1

The use or I would say the belief of Vastushastra in the design and planning process of any type of building even interior design has been massively increased. People try to cover all the aspects of Vastu and get suggestion from everyone near around.

But the real question is what actually is the VastuShastra? People are following it, as it will do some magic for their life/business through vastu followed building. Some feels it compulsory due to superstition or fear. Fear is one of the big aspect for people to go in the wrong direction. This is where some opportunist take advantage, they run their quasy legal business through vastu books, suggestions and practice as consultant.

Vastu Shastra is nothing but a science. There are three important aspect which needs to be followed in vastu shastra, first one is the orientation of building, second is the wind direction and the third one is the sun angle which means how the sun cast shadow on the building. Using Vastu Shastra as a science is technically nothing but climate responsive design for any kind of a building. It is nothing but an approach to keep ourself in a soothing climatic conditions, which is why there is a saying that the "Vastu has an impact on our body, life (it may also include our business) or family"

Let us take an example to explain this. Why a company gives an engineer cabin which is air conditioned, give him the facilities like car, house etc., so that the engineer can work in better living condition and give his company best output. Now imagine if the same engineer does not get air conditioned room, does not get the facilities will he be able to work in this situation same as before? Now in another example imaginge if we are sitting in a air conditioned, air cooled or room with atleast a fan running on and suddenly the electricity goes off what we will do, we will just try to grab the door and go outside just to feel the natural air, to get ourself in shoothing condition once again.

In the same way if the building is not designed as per the climate responsive aspects of Vastu Shastra it will impact our body our livelihood
